Kangaroo Valley Family Day Care Flexible Initiatives Trial
The Kangaroo Valley Family Day Care Flexible Initiatives Trial is a 12-month project to test a more flexible model of early childhood education and care in a regional community. The project supports children aged 0–6 years and includes the establishment of 20 new family day care services, creating up to 80 places.
The trial is funded by the NSW Government through the Early Childhood Education and Care Flexible Initiatives Trial (FIT), under the Childcare and Economic Opportunity Fund. This support applies to the approved trial period only. Continuation beyond the trial is not guaranteed and will depend on service sustainability and operational considerations.
This trial supports families with children aged 0–6 years who need access to early childhood education and care in Kangaroo Valley and surrounding areas.
This is a trial, so access and service delivery may vary during the funded period.
This project is also aimed at people interested in becoming part of a Family Day Care model in the Kangaroo Valley area.
The initiative supports the recruitment of local educators and helps build local service capacity. Educator requirements include:
